Private Pilot Training
The FAA requires every new pilot in training to have a minimum of 40 hours of training before they are eligible for the Private Pilot practical test. Most of this training is done with a certified flight instructor in the plane and some of it is done in solo flight without anyone else in the plane with you. However, not every pilot is ready for the test after 40 hours of flying. The national average is over 70 hours of training. In our experience, the more often a student pilot flies when in training, the faster they will progress in their training, leading to fewer dollars spent.
Accelerated Pilot training
I work with one student at a time for accelerated training. You must have your written exam completed before we will begin your training. This training is fairly intense and will require your attention all day for both flying and studying. Please leave your distractions at home and come ready to work!
Accelerated Private pilot course: $18,000. This includes all ground instruction and up to 50 hours of dual in a C172. If you require more hours than 50, then you will be charged by the hour. Your final test (checkride) is a separate fee.
Accelerated Instrument course: $16,000. This includes all ground instruction and 40 hours dual in C172. If you require more time to be ready for your exam, then you will be charged by the hour. Checkride fees are in addition to this price.
Accelerated Commercial course: $8,000. This includes all ground and up to 20 hrs of 172 rental time and instruction. Check ride fees are in addition to this price.
